Ron Oler, PhD
I retired as a full-professor of business at age 56, because I could, because my family was debt-free. Higher education was my second career that spanned more than two decades following my first career as a broadcast engineer spanning more than a decade.
As a lifelong Hoosier, I value hard work, commitment to a cause, family, and community service. I grew up on a family farm where we raised livestock and grain; and we learned the value of working hard to get what you needed.
As a business professor, I knew how to finance anything and I knew how to use debt as a tool to get things I could not really afford. Fortunately, the Great Recession “woke me up” to the desire and drive to change my family tree from one dragged down with debt to one that springs forth from a debt-free life.
I am a Ramsey Solutions certified Master Financial Coach. I have taught more an a hundred people through personal finance courses at the college level. I have taught Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class. I have also been trained as a Budget Coach through Willow Creek’s Good Sense program and Crown Financial Ministries. I have found Ramsey’s Solutions’ 7 Baby Steps to Financial Freedom the most practical approach to lasting Financial Peace.
Winning with Money is Possible if you will follow the time-tested plan to set and reach practical financial goals.
